Fourth Grade Objectives for the Week of October 10

Reading: We will be discussing drawing conclusions and story structure.

Math: Fourth graders will be adding and subtracting whole numbers. They will be reviewing how to subtract across zeros. Students will also draw a picture and write and equation.

Please review multiplication facts with your child.

Writing: Fourth graders will be finishing up their revising and editing of their memorable event. They will be writing their final copy to turn in for a grade.

Theme: We will be finishing up our unit on force and motion. Students will be reviewing and taking a test on the unit.

Spelling: Our words this week are irregular plurals. Some plurals are formed by adding -s or -es: hoofs, potatoes. Sometime the spelling of the singular form changes: loaves, feet. Some words do not change at all: moose, sheep
